CHRISTINA VENTO
Christina has always had a passion for sustainability and the environment …
At a young age, she developed a deep desire to explore the world and discover how remote cultures exist within their surrounding environments. She travelled to Fiji and spent a month fully immersed in a native village, where she volunteered on farms, taught in schools, helped with daily chores, and formed unforgettable bonds within the community that had so little yet exuded so much love and joy.
As a student at The Ohio State University, she carried with her these passions, studying Sustainability & Business. In 2016, she traveled abroad to New Zealand, studying the interactions between society, sustainability and the indigenous culture throughout different regions of the South Island. Throughout college, Christina also participated in sustainability efforts locally in Ohio, working for nonprofits such as Impact Ohio and Green Columbus, and started her professional career post-graduation working for a waste-to-energy company.
When Christina moved to Los Angeles in 2019 with her band, she was searching for opportunities to fulfill her need to give back to the environment and the communities that need it the most. Fast forward to 2023 and she is thrilled to be working in Marketing and Communications for The Samburu Project!
