EMMILY SIFUENTES
Emmily learned about TSP and discovered her passion for empowering others…
through her own pursuits of higher education. From a young age she has wanted to travel and understand how different countries work and shape their communities. Being from a small city in Los Angeles taught her the importance of community outreach and how crucial community organizations are to making a change in people’s lives.
While working towards her BA in Global Studies and Chicana/o Studies at UCLA, she became interested in global inequalities; specifically, when it comes to gender and education, and how globalization was impacting them. While at UCLA she got the opportunity to intern with TSP. Starting as an intern to being on staff, she has developed a strong appreciation for the organization’s commitment to clean water access, sustainability, and community-driven change.
