Dr. Tova Tampe is a global health specialist…
with over 20 years of experience strengthening primary health care (PHC), advancing health equity, and supporting community-led development across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, the United States, and the Pacific. At the World Health Organization in Geneva, she led global PHC initiatives focused on aligning partner investments, strengthening PHC policy and planning, and expanding integrated community health delivery.
Tova’s connection to Kenya spans many years, beginning with rural WASH, nutrition, and HIV/AIDS programs in western Kenya, followed by research focused on improving access to health services among slum residents in Kisumu and Nairobi. Through her WHO work, she also collaborated with the Kenya Ministry of Health on PHC policy, planning, and partner coordination. She brings deep expertise in partnership development, strategy, and measurement, with a passion for the intersection of climate resilience, sustainability, and community health. She holds a Doctor of Public Health from George Washington University and is the Founder of Thrive Health Advisory.
